Summer of artistic inspiration: Island VI Form exhibition moves to Ryde

Final year students from The Island VI Form‘s Foundation in Art course have recently showcased their work at the esteemed Independent Arts Gallery, located in the heart of Newport.

Dianne Vince, the course leader, described the Private View event as having an impressive turnout.

Reflecting an Array of Artistic Disciplines
Among those attending were family, friends, tutors, governors and numerous members of the Island Art Community, all there to celebrate the students’ creative output.

A diverse array of disciplines was presented, spanning painting, printing, costume design and film.

The students have been acclaimed for their high-quality work and their innovative approaches to exploring various themes.

Inspiring Art Continues its Journey at the Arch Window Gallery
In a delightful turn of events, the exhibition has now found a new home at the Arch Window Gallery in Ryde.

This will ensure the students’ work continues to inspire and impress viewers throughout the summer months.

The exhibition will be organised into two separate showings, the first from 2nd to 24th July, followed by the second from 26th July to 16th August.

Expressing gratitude
Course leaders and tutors have expressed their gratitude towards all at Independent Arts, acknowledging their instrumental role in making the initial event a success.

Additionally, they expressed their appreciation towards curators Violet Mareck and Jan Frith of the Arch Window Gallery.

A summer feast for art lovers
The students’ work can now be viewed at 35 High Street Ryde, with the convenience of 24-hour accessible viewing, providing the opportunity to relish in the talent of these budding artists, at any hour you prefer.
