Supermarket raises £490 for Hospice on Go Yellow Day

Go Yellow Day, which took place in July – may seem a distant memory, but allow us to jog your memory with news of a cheque presentation.

If you happened to visit Sainsbury’s in Newport that day, you’ll remember that there was lots of fundraising going on.

Ben Rust from the Hospice tells us that the store raised £490 through Going Yellow.

They got into the spirit of the event and staff were dressed in yellow all day, with collections on the tills, a fundraising stall, IW Radio were broadcasting live from the store all morning and there was even the tame Hospice gorilla handing out prize winning bananas for donations.

A cheque for £490 was handed over to Fundraising Team Leader, Lousie Watson, by Sainsburys staff.
