Isle of Wight Ian Gregory (remember him – the man who has cycled over 3,000 miles for Prostate Cancer UK) will be carrying out his final 2016 fundraising event tomorrow (Friday 21st October) at the Morrisons store in Lake.
Ian will be attempting a grand finale of pedaling 300 miles on the turbo trainer in just the one day at the store.
Setting off at 8am
He thinks this will take him around 11-12 hrs to complete, starting to pedal from 8am and not finishing until at least 7.30-8pm.
Putting aside the fact that twenty years ago Ian was diagnosed Fibromyalgia, a chronic pain disorder, eight damaged discs in his spine, Arthritis and Tempro-mandibular dysfunction disorder, he’s also recovering at the moment from a bad bout of influenza and was
bedridden for six days last week.
Ian’s fundraising total for Prostate Cancer UK stands at £3,630.00 so he’s are hoping to hit the target of £4,000 (excluding gift aid) by the end of this event.
