Spare a thought for the brave souls who plan to swim across the Solent on Friday morning.
Given all the bad weather that we’ve been having this week, we expect that they are hoping that the weather fairy will be shining down on them on Friday.
The twelve who plan to swim, Alex Parkinson, Bruce Harris, Colin Tabram , Kate Ward, Lee Jones, Lorraine Hardman, Paul Dodd, Robert Wolstenholme, Suzanne Hudson, Tom Parkinson, Claire Chadburn, Paul ‘Trouble’ Arnold have been training hard over the last few months, preparing their bodies for the gruesome crossing.
And all this in the aid of charity. Do help out and make their interprid swim worthwhile by donating to the causes.
