If you like having a great time out and are one of those lovely generous people who can always spare some cash for those in need, then a new night called Swingle organised by the team at Requestival is just for you.
The organisers will be going back in time to the 1920s and 1930s to the crafted and exciting music of that era Swing, Jive etc, and plan to incorporate current musical trends such as Balkan Beats and Gypsy punk delivering an evening of non stop dancing.
DeeJay Shoddy will be on the decks to make sure your feet will be tapping out the beats and we hear that ballroom dancers will be on hand to take you through the steps of that time, such as the Charleston.
It won’t cost you a penny to get in, but the donation buckets will be circling during the evening, so make sure you do the right thing and part with some cash to help raise funds and awareness to the plight of street and orphaned children in Peru.
And it wouldn’t be a great party on the Wight without some fancy dress, so pull together your best gangsters and molls outfits ready for 2nd March.
It all takes place at Joes, High St, Newport and sounds like a great night of music, dance and fundraising.
