Here’s one to stick in your diaries. In two weeks time, 1965 Records and Birds Of Britain will present in Ventnor, a night of musical splendour.
Watcombe Bottom FC is not quite the venue where we’d imagined seeing The Draytones for the first time, but it’s close to home nonetheless, so at least we won’t have to fork out for a taxi home.
Yes, The Draytones are coming to Ventnor!

They are really quite wonderful and this should be a very special performance.
Playing alongside our visitors from London will be Niton lovelies, The Motion Pictures. Since signing with 1965 Records earlier in the year, we hear that they have gone from strength to strength and have been working very hard.
Question is, “are we going to be getting a new album for Christmas lads?”
We reckon this gig is one that’ll attract music lovers from all over the Island, so make sure you get in early to avoid being turned away.
From 8pm til 2am and only a fiver to get in, certainly looks like the right time of year to get psychedelic.
