Isle of Wight film production company Vectis Productions Ltd. has announced an exciting event for Saturday 25th March at Haseley Manor, Heasley Lane, Arreton (PO30 3AN).
The event will feature open casting for background/extras and auditions for specific supporting characters for their feature film, The Last Bastion.
The Last Bastion is the first of a trilogy of post-apocalyptic thrillers set in a dystopian world following a megatsunami. The entire film will be shot on the Island, utilising predominantly local talent across 25 different locations.
Auditions
Auditions for specific supporting characters will take place from 9am to 12pm on the day of the event, with open casting for background/extras from 1pm to 4pm.
The production team is encouraging all local talent to attend the event in costume, as there are four different tribes to choose from. Attendees will have their photos taken and will also get the chance to meet the director and cast.
Photo opportunities
To add to the excitement, a film set scene with characters and vehicles will be on show, and people will be able to have their pictures taken with members of the Vectis Army or their prisoners.
Promotional merchandise and refreshments will also be available for sale to support the production and raise funds for Haseley Manor’s chosen charities.
A “Brixton boy made good”
