“Grease” holds a cherished spot in our cultural memory, whether it’s remembered from the original 1971 Chicago stage production, the popular film adaptation, or the vibrant 2022 revival.
A fascinating piece of trivia is that the original name for the T-Birds in the musical was the “Burger Palace Boys,” after their favourite diner. Moreover, the songs “Hopelessly Devoted To You”, “You’re the One That I Want,” and “Grease” were not in the original Broadway production but have since been included in all renditions, including Theatretrain’s upcoming performance.

Last year’s West End revival of Grease attracted over 500,000 people. Theatretrain Isle of Wight is proud to bring that very same version to local audiences, complete with professional costumes, orchestral arrangements, and set, as well as the Grease Car from STRICTLY COME DANCING.
