Island musicians played for over 11 hours for free last Sunday as their contribution to the Save the Rivoli Cinema campaign.
£600 was raised at the benefit gig at Clancy’s in Sandown on Sunday, as well as £86 from the recent Bring and Buy sale also held in the town.
But much more is needed. There are just 23 days left on the crowd-funding scheme that has already raised £6,200 and other funding streams are still being explored.

If you haven’t looked at the crowd-funding campaign being run through IndieGoGo yet do take a look.
You’re not just giving cash to a fund to help save and restore the vintage cinema, you get something tangible in return for your financial contribution.
Items range from tickets to cinema screenings, to buying your own seat, being able to having the cinema to yourself for a day and more. There really is something for every budget.
