Now we’ve finally entered December, it’s time to start thinking about making plans to get together with friends and celebrate the Christmas season.

Once again Steve Robson from Visual Impact is putting on one of his ever-popular pre-Christmas events.

Britpop meets Ska
This year Steve’s got one of the UK’s top Britpop covers bands performing at The Balcony Bar in Ryde on Saturday 20th December.

Marquis Drive will be taking you right back to the Manchester sounds of the 90s, covering the likes of The Stone Roses, Pulp, the Happy Mondays, Cast, Shed 7, Ocean Colour Scene, The Charlatans and more…

Steve says these guys are amazing and blew him away at the Scooter Weekend when they played Ryde Pavilion, he just had to have them back.

Easing you in …
Ska’d for Life are a quality nine piece outfit that perform old style chilled ska, a la Desmond Decker/Clancy Eccles right through to high tempo/energy Two Tone revival of The Specials.

All band members have a love Ska hailing from existing, separate, gigging bands joining together to play some great tunes, with a big brass section to make you dance.

Where and when
The event takes place at The Balcony Bar on Saturday 20th December. Doors opens at 8pm and tickets are £10.

Grab your tickets from the Visual Impact website or in person from Superbowl in Ryde,
Bagel Wrap in Ryde or Visual Impact in Newport.
