Tiki National Interclub Surfing Championships: Isle of Wight Surfers Get So Close

A team of surfers from the Isle of Wight narrowly missed out on a place on the podium at the recent Tiki National Interclub Surfing Championships.

Tiki National Interclub Surfing Championships: Isle of Wight Surfers Get So ClosePaul Blackley from Wight Surf History Project (sponsored by West Wight Landscape Partnership) covered the event.

He was able to report that team Isle of Wight were very close to taking third place on the podium, just three points behind Croyde Surf Club’s A Team.

Sounds like it was challenging championship but the Isle of Wight team did well to come fourth out of eleven.

Paul has plenty of great shots and full details over on Wight Surf History Website.

He also mentions trying to take some wildlife shots during the event which he’s well known for, so why not check out his site.
