Last night we were lucky enough to attend a talk at Seely Hall in Brook by Tom Priestley.
It was the second time that Tom, son of the author, playwright and once resident of Brook Hill House, J.B. Priestley, had returned to the Island to share memories of his life with his father.
We were treated to a fascinating hour or so of interesting and funny anecdotes, which was followed with a film made by Tom, in which we saw Tom interviewing his father and learning more about his career and family life.
Fortunate enough to catch some time with Tom after the event, we discovered more about time on the Island when he was a child at both Brook Hill House and Billingham Manor (JB Priestley’s first home on the Island).
