Congratulations to Alison Bright from IOW NHS. Ed
With a double distinction and the highest combined results in the country, Alison Bright from the Clinical Coding team from NHS IOW has achieved ACC (Accredited Clinical Coder) Status.
Upon hearing the results, Alison commented, “The six hour exam tests all the skills of the coder and I was pleasantly surprised to hear I had the top results in the country – what helped me achieve this was the quality of training I received and the support of my colleagues in the department here at St. Mary’s.”
Presented with certificate and cheque
On Monday 23rd May, Alison was presented with her certificate of achievement and a £100 cheque by Ross Hignett, a representative from CHKS.
CHKS is an independent provider of healthcare intelligence and quality improvement services, which is giving national recognition to every candidate who achieved a distinction in the Institute of Health Record and Information Management’s (IHRIM) National Clinical Coding Qualification exams.
Chris Palmer Director of Finance and Information Management & Technology said, “I am delighted for Alison and the team. This is a tremendous achievement and for me highlights the commitment and capability of our staff here on the Island in their roles, all of which contribute to improving patient care.”
