Transit Van Smashes Ventnor Shop Front

Residents of Pier Street in Ventnor were woken by a loud bang this morning when a transit van crashed through the shop front of Suzes Room at 7.45am.

The vintage shop, which recently changed hands and re-opened last week, is one of, if not the most characterful shop fronts in the town, with until this morning, its original Victorian curved glass windows in tact.

We understand that the driver of the transit van lost control of the vehicle whilst parking. The van mounted the pavement and hit the right hand side shop window, taking out not only the glass and brick shop front but also the vintage goods on display.

I have no control after that at all. If I… Read more »

I often change my mind after I’ve said something – I’ve heard it loud & then thought “That’s not really what I mean, I don’t think that!” On the other hand, I have in recent times become… Read more »
