The Trident Concert Band will be celebrating its 10th Anniversary with a concert next Saturday (4th February) under the direction of musical direction of Robin Taylor.
Please come along and join the Island’s newest Concert band, who started with a conductor and a keyboard player in February 2002, played their first engagement at the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Tattoo at Carisbrooke Castle that same year, and which has blossomed into a still-growing 30+ ensemble, whose philosophy is to share their enjoyment of music with as wide an audience as possible.
The Band will be performing music specially arranged for them by Mr Taylor spanning the full ten years they have been in existence, from Jesus Christ Superstar, one of the first ever pieces to Phantom of the Opera which has not been performed in public by them before, and the arranging continues with Pomp and Circumstance No 4 still being arranged for the Summer programs.
