A man has been charged following an incident at the Red Jet terminal in Cowes.
Police were called to reports of a public order incident shortly before 3.30pm on Monday 2 October.
Two men were arrested.
Bailed to appear in court
Following enquiries, a 25-year-old man of Elm Grove in Newport, was charged with possession of an offensive weapon in a public place – namely a hammer.
He has been bailed to appear at Isle of Wight Magistrates’ Court on 17th October.
Community resolution
The second man arrested, an 18-year-old from Newport, has been dealt with by means of community resolution for possession of cannabis.
