A group of Isle of Wight residents concerned by the events taking place in Ukraine have organised a fundraising event which they hope Islanders will come along and support.
The Ukrainian Pop-Up Cafe, being held on Saturday 2nd April in Brighstone, has been organised by Caroline Gurney-Champion, Gillian Belben and Genny Pentelow.
Raising money for Ukraine
The purpose of the event is to raise funds for the Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal on behalf of the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC).
Sample the wonderful Ukrainian food
The women will be serving lunch and afternoon teas and say that donations of food and help on the day would most welcome, or just come along to sample the wonderful Ukrainian food.
Where and when
The Ukrainian Pop-Up Cafe takes place between 12-4pm on Saturday 2nd April 2022 at the Wilberforce Hall, Main Road, Brighstone.
