Sunday saw the start of the inaugural ‘Under the Bed Sale IW’ – an incredible collection of unique. original Isle of Wight art for sale at incredibly reasonable prices.
The upstairs floor at Montage Place (formerly The Depozitory) in Ryde is jam packed with more than 1,000 pieces of original artworks, offering you the chance to affordably start or continue to build your art collections.
The works for sale are all from exhibited artists currently working on the Island, many of whom have exhibited nationally and internationally, plus amongst them are several recipients of prestigious awards.
Purchase original artwork at a great, affordable price
The purpose of the sale is to provide artists an opportunity to pull out artworks from storage and sell them off at reduced prices to help clear space in their studios …and heads!
Prices will range from £1 to £350, so the buying art lover has a chance to purchase original artwork at a great, affordable price.
A variety of mediums
There will be painting, printmaking, sculpture, photography, ceramics, plus experiments, slight seconds, sketchbook works, drawings, collage, cards, and objects that defy description – there’s something for everyone, all on show salon style and all for sale.
It’s a win, win for everyone – artists have an opportunity to move work on and the new owners get to walk away with a unique, original piece of artwork on the day.

Under the Bed Sale IW runs daily from 10am to 4pm (12.30pm to 4pm on Thursday 8th Feb) up to and including, Saturday 10th February.
