As the week has gone on since the Undercliff Drive landslip at the weekend, even more cracks are appearing in the road and news reaches us now that some have made the decision to move their belongings out of their properties and found somewhere else to stay.
We’re told that more cracks have now appeared in the road further along from the Glen, where Saturday’s landslip occurred.
Readers will remember that officers from the Isle of Wight council asked residents whether they had somewhere else they could stay.
With more heavy rain predicted over the next 24 hours, what happens next with the fragile road must be a huge worry for residents.
