The number of people claiming unemployment benefit on the Isle of Wight in April was 195 lower than in March this year.
Although the figures were lower compared to the previous month, it was 200 higher than in April 2009.
The total number of employed claimants April 2010 was 3,424, making the Isle of Wight the 239th highest of the 632 constituencies in Great Britain.
