The member of staff on the Cowes Floating Bridge who was seriously injured during an incident that took place in August is doing well, say the council.
The well-liked man became trapped between a car and the gate at the far end of the bridge after a car driven by an 80 year old man careered onto the bridge on Friday 7th August.
Police say they are continuing to investigate the collision.
Making an excellent recovery
An Isle of Wight Council spokesperson said:
“The member of staff is making an excellent recovery.”
