Yesterday afternoon we made a trip up to Cowes to check out a new street art exhibition.
UpFest has been brought to the Isle of Wight by Steve Hayles, the brainchild behind the burgeoning festival of street, urban and contemporary art which has been held in Bristol over the last couple of years.
Steve is originally from the Island, so keen to bring something back to share and we’ve got to say, it’s very welcome.
The collection is made up of international street artists and should appeal to many. It’s not just about graf and stencilling, there’s some really impressive illustrative styles and techniques alongside observational messages about today’s society.
The exhibition is open until Sunday, based in an architectural office just by the Cowes Chain Ferry.
