An Executive meeting of the Vectis Party was held this morning, (Thursday) following the sentencing of its leader, Daryll Pitcher, on child rape charges.
Pitcher (pictured right) was sentenced to prison for 27 months – although he will only serve half of that inside. After being found guilty in February, he stepped down from Isle of Wight council committees, but still remained in the role as Vectis Party councillor for Wootton Bridge.
EGM to be held this weekend
Adrian Whittaker, member of the Vectis Party, told News OnTheWight,
“An executive meeting was held this morning regarding the recent events pertaining to the leader of the Vectis Party whereupon a full EGM will be held this Saturday for the full membership where upon a new leader will be appointed.
“The Vectis Party still maintains its full objective to serve the people of this Island.”
