Since the closure of the Ventnor Winter Gardens last month, the Ventnor Film Society have been on the lookout for a new venue for their monthly screenings.
Luckily for the Society, the break in the programme will be short, missing only one month as a new venue has been secured for the rest of the season.
St Francis Junior school on Leeson Road (formerly St Boniface Primary) is the new venue and the Society welcomes you to their first screening there on 2nd March.
If you’re a fan of the legendary band from the 1960s/70s, The Doors, then the first screening at the new venue should be of interest.
When You’re Strange: A Film About the Doors is a gripping documentary about The Doors, composed entirely of archival footage of the band in the studio, on stage and, most rivetingly of all, backstage, overlaid with the voiceover of Johnny Depp.
