A man has been charged as part of an investigation into nuisance 999 phone calls being made to emergency services.
The 35-year-old, of Ventnor High Street, has been charged with:
- Failing to comply with a Community Protection Notice
- Persistently making use of public communication to cause annoyance, inconvenience or anxiety, relating to calls made to police and ambulance between 11th and 18th June
- Resisting arrest
Bailed with conditions
He was remanded in custody by police to appear at the Isle of Wight Magistrates’ Court this morning (12 July).
At this morning’s hearing, he was bailed with conditions to appear at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court on 27th July.
