The agenda for tonight’s Ventnor Town Council (VTC) meeting can now be found online.
Amongst the items being discussed will be the 2010/2011 precept, several matters relating to the Winter Gardens and for the VTC to receive a report from the Audit Recommendations Committee.
Informal precept meeting badly attended
We understand that an informal meeting was called last week for Town Councillors to discuss and agree the precept for this coming financial year.
We’re told that, rather bizarrely, only five councillors turned up for the meeting.
Cllr Perks and Garlick sent their apologies in advance, but there was no word from either Cllr Scoccia, Cllr Mew or Cllr Bartlett.
Current town clerk, Tina Bailey, did not attend as she claimed it would ‘compromise her situation’.
