Our regular readers will be well aware that here at VentnorBlog we love celebrating all the great talent that this Island produces and attracts.
Over the years we’ve come across some superb artists, many of which we’ve seen at shows at the Quay Arts, which does a great job of promoting Island talent.
Given how far away Newport is (:)), we thought it might be a jolly wheeze to put on an exhibition way down South. We’re calling it — VentnorBlog presents … — a name which took us … oooo, minutes to come up with.
Grab your diaries – it’s being held in Bonchurch on Saturday and Sunday, 23-24 February between 12-4pm each day.
Talent
We’ve asked four talented Island-based artists – two artists and two photographers – to gather new work to be shown for the first time on the Wight. They are artists Tania Dixcey and Michael Forrest, along with photographers Abi MacRobert and Julian Winslow.
Each of them has a unique and diverse talent, providing what we hope is a really strong show.
Details
It’s going to be exhibited in the stunning location of the Bonchurch Manor Hotel and will be open to the public between noon and 4pm on the Saturday and Sunday.
We’d love to see you all down there and hope that you’ll find time to make it along.
