Following the walkout earlier of one worker from the site at Newport, three more workers who have been taking part in the occupation at Vestas in Newport, have left the building peacefully.
VentnorBlog has exclusive photos of the three men leaving the building (to follow) and then being identified on a sheet of paper with names and faces (possibly from their security photos?) before being escorted by Police and security off the site.
They were then searched and the Police read them some information stating that “may have caused some damage which would be investigated by the Police.” They were not cautioned or arrested.
All men were very pleased to see their partners waiting outside. Leanne Godley (wife of Mike Godley) described it as the longest two weeks of her life.
They were met with cheers from the supporters outside.
Chris and Mike had cars waiting for them, but rather than wait for his car to arrive, Seb decided to walk out to meet a media scrum. Luckily his car arrived almost immediately afterwards.
