On Tuesday afternoon, after leaving the blade plant in Newport that he had occupied for the last two weeks, Seb Sikora went home for a quick shower and change of clothes before returning to the Vestas plant to show his support for his fellow workers who remain inside the building.
We caught up with him to find out what had motivated him to take part in the sit-in and what plans he had now that he was on the other side of the fencing.
The fight for our jobs will go on he told us, he’ll be travelling around the UK talking to unions and workers about the struggle to save the jobs.
Squeezed in around that will be making a quick trip to Poland to carry out his duties as best man at his brother’s wedding.
Seb has become quite the celebrity whilst inside the Vestas plant (baring his chest on sunny days might have helped add to that from the ladies’ point of view) and as we heard from Mike yesterday he was responsible for spearheading the Vestas Musical (more details of this to follow soon on VB).
Anyway, sit back and watch the hear what else Seb had to say.
After we were so rudely interrupted by the ITN camera-woman we continued the interview (advance notice of a swear word that slipped into the conversation)
