If you haven’t been over to Christmas.OnTheWight yet, you might have missed this story about another new Web site launched this month.
Christian Beasley is the creator of VirtuallyWight a map based Website, which provides an interactive tour of the Island’s Christmas lights.
Over the last few weeks, Christian has travelled around the Island to film lantern parades and Christmas light displays and transferred all the information onto his interactive Google map.
This is not the first site to make use of Google Maps, others include Matt and Cat’s Isle of Wight Eating Out Guide and we’ll shortly be integrating maps into OnTheWight as well, but Christian’s use of them is very novel and entertaining.
Christian has started to extend the offering by including walks and points of interest too.
