Quarr Abbey are on the lookout for volunteers to help with gardening and in the tea room.
Senior Volunteer Gardeners
Working the vegetable plot & general gardens (minimum 16 hrs p.w, per role)
The positions would suit either a qualified experienced horticulturist, or someone who is a keen amateur, with a range of general gardening skills and/or experience in growing garden produce. For both posts duties will involve garden maintenance, planting hedge cutting and vegetable plot maintenance.
General Volunteer Gardeners
Vegetable plot & general gardens (Minimum 8 hrs p.w)
The positions would suit persons that have a background knowledge in horticulture or someone who is keen to gain more experience.
This role would involve aspects of both the vegetable and general gardening areas as well as an element of estate maintenance.

Teashop
Volunteer positions available for the Quarr Abbey teashop. The positions would suit persons who have previous experience or a keen interest in working with the public.
Duties would include counter service, kitchen porter, light cleaning duties, some element of retail; and meeting and greeting guests in the beautiful surroundings of the Quarr Abbey teashop.
