Weston Manor: The Background: Podcast

As we stated previously, even though the Real World Trust have since pulled out of Weston Manor, we still felt it was important to publish these interviews which took place back in January, as they raise many contradictions and discrepancies.

With regard to the objection of Weston Manor being used as a drug and rehab clinic, Chris is very clear that he would like to see somewhere in the community where the drug and rehab patients could be placed.

He acknowledges that it is a vital and urgent service needed on the Wight, but felt strongly that because of it’s scale, Weston Manor should house a larger organisation with more prominent usage. He suggested that a care home for treatment of soldiers coming back from Iraq, a care home for the blind or similar for disabled youngsters would fit well with the history and scale of the site.

For anyone interested in the planning process that takes place within the Isle of Wight Council, this interview is definitely worth a listen.

The last we heard about Weston Manor was that it was up for sale.
