Islanders are being encouraged to come together in Ryde on Wednesday 21st September for the United Nations International Day of Peace.
Co-organiser of the event, Ramon Cowell, told OnTheWight they would like to gather 1,000+ people from across the Island, of all faiths, ages and creeds, to form a giant Peace sign on Appley beach.
He went on to say,
“We want to celebrate this day and stand together with millions of people around the world.”
The event will be photographed by Darren Vaughan from WightDrone.
If you’d like to take part, head to Appley Beach for a 6pm start (take a torch).
