Artist Sophia Flowers (of Joyful Painting) enthralled the members of Appley WI with a demonstration of ‘wet on wet’ oil painting at their meeting this month.
The attractive mountain and lake scene developed before their eyes as Sophia used techniques to depict sunset and reflections in water and on snow.
Margaret Rogers was pleased to win the painting in a raffle in aid of ACWW, which raised £40.
The Best Bloom for March was brought by Joy Wade and Judith Lazell won the competition ‘Every Picture Tells A Story’.
