Residents of Yarmouth will be celebrating tonight after the Appeals Sub Committee finally met and awarded the majority of Yarmouth recreation ground Village Green Status.
Yarmouth resident Peter Scott, who has been fighting for the Village Green status since 2009 told OnTheWight this morning,
“The applicant and supporters are delighted that common sense has prevailed and look forward to a long term future of the recreation ground.”
This was the third attempt to have the committee consider the application after previous appeals were adjourned.
