If you haven’t booked your place on this coming weekend’s Yarmouth Heritage event and were planning to go along, prepare to be disappointed.
The evening, which has been organised by The Yarmouth Society in conjunction with the Royal Solent Yacht Club, has proved amazingly popular.
Yarmouth’s veterans will share their memories
Those lucky enough to secure tickets will kick off the evening with Mrs Simmons’ Famous Prawn Supper, followed by a some of Yarmouth’s veterans sharing their memories of what life was like in the town in the 1930s-50s.
After that Kevin Shaw will present an illustrated talk on Yarmouth after World War II and there’s even a fun history quiz for all to take part in.
The evening will be by John Caulcutt and as it has proved so popular, we hear it’s likely it will be repeated at a later date for those unable to attend.
