Following the announcement by Island Roads this morning that Bouldnor Road will be closed for seven weeks the Mayor of Yarmouth, Steve Cowley told OnTheWight,
“The road show held in Yarmouth before the work started clearly stated that the road would be closed for two weeks at a time.
“Despite Cllr Gilby’s comments the residents and traders are not pleased with this fundamental change of plan.
“It is hoped that Island Roads will be able to clarify some of the issues in their proposed road closures and diversions.
“We are also awaiting the route of the number 7 bus which has been a mystery tour of the west Wight in recent weeks due to various closures.”
