This Saturday night at The Studio in Newport, dub seems to be the order of the day (or night) as Yes Yes will be providing punters with dub, jungle, dub step and dub house and techno.
Slight change to the lineup, as Bajah is now otherwise engaged. Stepping in to replace him and hailing from Cowes is rootsman Tala Steppa. He’ll be providing the dub, roots and next gen UK reggae sounds.
Downstairs will be the Shoom rig, with Louis Soteriou and George Cross playing Basic Channel style dub house and techno. Upstairs VJ supremo, Jo Hummel-Newell and friends will be animating the shaking bass weight of Clev, TS (see review of his set at Bestival Bands/DJs Competition) and Shedbass FM’s, Etidorpha. The night will be hosted by Cooly Haste and N8th the 8th.
Only £3 before 11 pm (£4 after) and the first 50 people who go through the door at 9pm will get a free mix CD by DJ TS.
