YMCA Futures: Enterprise Project provides up to £1,000 and support from professional business people to help young people get their fundraising / event / business ideas off the ground.
Individuals and groups of young people have the opportunity to experience what it’s like to run a business or event and in the process raise cash for a charity of their choice. The project will support a variety of ideas including performances, challenges, the production and promotion of fashion items, technology, food and drink, and all things environmental.
Inspiring and encouraging
Kelly Edwards said,
“Their ideas might seem weird, wacky or just plain simple. We’d like to inspire and encourage them to see these ideas through. They can choose how long they want to spend on their business or event, and our expert business professionals are here to provide them with on-going support.”
The project is funded through the Isle of Wight Council’s Youth Offer and Island Roads Isle of Wight Foundation.
