Alec Webb (Cadet in 1024 Squadron and pupil at Ryde High School) and Michael Glover (also a Cadet in 1024 Squadron and pupil at Sandown High School) have been chosen by the Air Training Corps (ATC) London & South East Region (LASER) to play the Euphonium and Cornet respectively, in the marching band that will form part of the Guard of Honour for the Lord Mayor of London on Saturday 13th November.
Some South and South West Region musicians were picked from the ATC National Band to join LASER in this event.
Band members had long days last Saturday and Sunday to practice and perform together in London and Croydon before another very early start to report to 291 Sqn HQ near Victoria Station at 8.30am on Saturday.
This event will be televised live on BBC 1 from 11am.
