‘Your Recycling Matters’: A community event to improve Ventnor’s sustainability (updated)

A free event is set to take place in Ventnor at the end of September, aimed at improving residents’ recycling efforts and increasing awareness about the environmental impact of waste.

The talk, titled “Your Recycling Matters: How to Recycle Better and What Happens to Our Recycling,” will be hosted at Ventnor Baptist Church on Pier Street on Friday, 27th September, starting at 6pm.

Event focuses on recycling and resource use
The event will begin with an introduction by Planet Aware, a local environmental organisation. Their talk, “Resource Use, Rubbish and the Ocean,” will explore how waste affects our oceans and what changes individuals can make to reduce their environmental footprint.

This will be an opportunity for attendees to learn more about the recycling process, understand what happens to their waste once it leaves the doorstep, and find out how they can improve their recycling habits.

Limited spaces available
Spaces for the event are limited, so those interested are encouraged to register in advance. You can secure a place by emailing [email protected].

With recycling becoming an increasingly critical issue for local and global environments, the event promises to be an informative evening for anyone interested in making a difference.
