Judges for the Gatcombe and Chillerton Scarecrow Festival had a massive task on their hands this year as the Festival returned to the Island during half term.
They had to choose their favourites from around 100 scarecrows, all lovingly, humourously and artistically made by residents in the two villages.
There was a fantastic range of scarecrows to keep the visitors amused, with apparently over 700 people visiting the village hall for tea and (delicious) cake in the first three days.
Check out our HD gallery below of a small sample of the many scarecrows on display.
We can’t wait until next year.
