Isle of Wight SEN Support is inviting families to a friendly and informal meet-up in Shanklin next week.
Organisers have planned a relaxed session with tea, cake, and activities for children, creating a welcoming space for parents and carers to connect with others who understand their experiences.
Creating a supportive space
The meet-up will take place on Tuesday 15th April from 10.30am to 12.30pm at YMCA Winchester House in Shanklin.
Children are welcome, and the event is completely free to attend.
The group wants to create a supportive, non-judgemental environment where families can talk openly and feel understood.
A small gesture of kindness
Thanks to a donation, every parent attending will receive a small gift bag.
The organisers say the gift is a gesture of care and appreciation for parents and carers, who often focus so much on others that they forget their own wellbeing.
Families interested in attending can simply turn up on the day.
