Thanks to Sheila (pictured right with Angie making bags in the January Sew-a-thon) for sending through details of a massive Worldwide giveaway taking place this Saturday.
Morsbags is an initiative created to help rid the world of plastic carrier bags and a group was created in Ventnor late last year.
A couple of months ago we wrote an article about the success of the VentnorBags ‘pod’ of Morsbag at which point they had created 1500 bags to hand out at shops in Ventnor and at events such as the Big Green Picnic.
We notice today that their figures have increased to a whopping 1949 bags made by the group, ensuring they retain the top spot on the charts. Well done to everyone involved in this project, you should be very proud of your efforts.
Two hundred bags have been produced specifically for tomorrows giveaway and are available in the shops listed below absolutely free of charge. Sheila tells us that you don’t even need to make a purchase to get one (but it would be good to support your local shops if you can).
