Here’s what we know currently about companies providing transport on the Island. Updates will occur as we hear more.

WightBus

Wightbus will be running a service for students who normally use Wightbus who are due to take exams on Monday 11 January. Students who attend Medina will be dropped off outside the school instead of next to the doors. There will be no service through Newtown and Wightbus will attempt to send a service through Chillerton. However, if the conditions are too hazardous, this service will be suspended.
There will also be no service through Alverstone. No service will run through Gurnard.
If a parent of a student has a their own means of getting into school, such as a 4×4 vehicle, it is recommended they use this.
Wightbus will be attempting to run all local public services tomorrow to the published timetable as best as they can. Please note there will be no Wightbus special needs service operating due to access difficulties.
There will also not be a service running for the following locations: Medina Centre, Isle of Wight College Continuing Education, Haylands Farm, Osel Newchurch and Meadowbrook.

Route 16: Running. Diversion at Ventnor Botanic Garden – not serving St Lawrence
Route 29: Running. Diversion in place – not running via the Folly, Edmonds Walk or Footways, Wootton.
Route 30 (Gurnard area – community service): Not running
Route 32: Running. Route runs via Carvel Lane, Ward Avenue, Baring Road, Egypt Hill, sea front to the Woodvale, Woodvale Road, Baring Road into Gurnard up to Solent View Road where it turns around, then Baring Road to Crossfield Avenue and then Carvel Lane.
Route 33: Running. Diversion in place – not running via Haylands or Bettisworth Road
Route 35 (Newtown, Porchfield, Hunnyhill – community service): Not running
Route 36 (Brightsone, Shorwell, Chillerton – community service): Not running
Route 39 (Pan Estate – community service): Not running
Route 103 (Shorwell to Carisbrooke – school service): Not running
Route 130 (Rookley to Ventnor Middle – school service): Not running

Students from Ventnor area should use route 3 (times are Ventnor Upper Bonchurch 0746hrs / Ventnor Boots 0756hrs) and change in Newport Bus Station onto route 5 or 9)

Operating – Will NOT serve Buddle Inn – use stop at Undercliff Garage
Route 92
Operating – Will NOT serve Brighstone Holiday Centre or Chine Lane. Will terminate at Brook Chine.
Route 93
Operating – From Freshwater Day will run direct to Carisbrooke High School via Shalfleet. Students in Calbourne should catch Route 61 departing Sun Inn at 0821hrs.
Route 94
Operating – From Freshwater Co-op will run direct to Carisbrooke High School via Shalfleet. Students in Calbourne should catch Route 61 departing Sun Inn at 0821hrs.
Route 96
Operating – Will depart Pagham @ 0808hrs then direct to Niton Village @ 0826hrs, then run direct to Chillerton Primary School via Whitwell and Highwood Lane. Will NOT operate across Bleak Down or via Niton Buddle. Use stops in Niton Village.
Route 98
Operating – Will run direct between Nettlestone Roadside Inn and Thornton Cross (NOT serving Seaview, Puckpool or Seaview Heights Estate).
