Not a great day for traffic on the Isle of Wight tonight, by the sounds of it.
A trusted source has called us to let VB readers know that the traffic into Newport is currently “Insane.”
Fortunately for them, they were driving toward Ryde, so got to see the full extent of it.
A jam from Coppin’s Bridge all the way to Robin Hill
They reported a traffic jam tail-back from Coppin’s Bridge all the way to Robin Hill.
Not clear what’s causing it, but it appeared that traffic from Fairlee was being diverted over the Downs.
In their words, “Anything feeding into Staplers looks like it’s in trouble.”
