Today’s release wasn’t a headliner as we thought it was going to be, but the remaining two headline acts will be announced in the coming days.
It won’t have escaped any music fan’s notice that Britpop darlings, Pulp, will be reforming for a tour next year.
So it’ll be no surprise to hear that come next June, the four-piece will be crossing the Solent to share their long awaited reformation with Isle of Wight Festival goers.
John Giddings, the festival promoter, says; “When I heard they were reforming, I had to get them, they are the soundtrack of a generation.”
Pulp will be joining Friday headliners, Kings of Leon on the main stage.
Having seen Pulp play live back in the day, we can’t wait to see if they’ve still got it, but do wish they were playing the Big Top rather than the main stage.
The Isle of Wight Festival 2011 takes place on 10, 11 & 12 June 2011
