A delegated decision report (embedded below for you convenience) to finalise the disposal of Chale School has been published by the Isle of Wight council today.
Chale School was closed as part of the schools re-organisation programme.
The property and land which is jointly owned by the council and the Diocese of Portsmouth was advertised last year and attracted a number of offers.
Four offers received
The council say that four final offers were received, and the highest is recommended for acceptance.
This was accompanied by satisfactory proof of funds, and confirmation that the proposed purchase is not subject to the sale of any other property and is unconditional.
