The CP has a letter this week condemning a fixed link and assumes it would be free. A bridge or Solent Tunnel would cost billions so one would expect a toll of at least £30/40.
The economy on the Island is the weakest in the South. Tourism is not really being supported by the council with the closure of Tourist Information Centre’s and loos.
Would a fixed link encourage more business?
I suspect that my Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren will have to find work elsewhere.
If it was easier and predictable to cross the Solent would we encourage more business?
