As we’re heading towards rush hour on the Isle of Wight, a burst water pipe on one of the artery roads out of the capital, Newport, is likely to cause traffic problems tonight.
The Isle of Wight council say that a water main has burst at the bottom of Staplers Road, Newport.
The problem had initially caused slow moving traffic on the road, but according to On The Wight reader, Linda Bassett, we understand that the road has now been closed.
Best avoid the area if possible.
